Big update cause Mummy has been slack!

Wow, I cant believe its been so long since mummy updated my blog! she has been so slack at not doing this more often!

Talking... I am now saying lots and lots of things, finally starting to catch up on what RowRow was saying at this age!
Sleep... I am still having 1 day sleep a day - of at least 1.5hrs and then have about 12hrs every night
Kindy ... I love it! I would go every day if I could! I have so much fun there and I just love going to play!
Hair .... it is growing.... slowly... I now have a few curls starting at the back, they are very cute!
Comprehension... I fully understand everything said to me, and I will repeat or do as asked.
My favorite songs at the moment are wheels on the bus, twinkle twinkle and I like to hum christmas carols!

I finally gave up my last baby adiction a week before my birthday.... self weaned and told mummy that it was broken and didnt work anymore! I am growing up too fast!

Big Girl Bed!

Well on Christmas Day, I was ment to have a sleep at Pop and Popettes in my cot, I decided it was a good day to climb out of it! I have never done that before, but its really easy! Then yesterday when I was ment to be sleeping I decided it was just as easy to climb out of my big cot! So then last night, Mum and Dad got the little bed out from under RowRows bed, and put that into my room, It took me a little while to go to sleep, and then I woke at midnight and Mummy came and gave me cuddles, but then I slept til 7:30 this morning! Today Mummy went shopping and got RowRow a new bed! So I now get his big bed and the little bed in my room, and he can have a new bed in his room. Mummy got me a new pink headboard to go on it! I really like my room now, I have got lots of place for all my babies and my prams and shoes now that the cot and change table have gone out of it!

Wow this is my 3rd Christmas! and certainly the most exciting so far, the first I was only 9 days old so dont really remember! I was very excited when I woke up and saw that I had a santa sack next to my cot with lots of pressies! It was also very exciting when I saw all of the presents under the tree! me and RowRow both had slept until about 730am, and at 830 Pop & Popette with Seb, and Nanma & Grandad and Steve and Ken all came to our place for breakfast and then we could open our presents! It was so much fun finally getting to open them all up, and RowRow was so busy opening his that he didnt have to help me open mine! After breakfast, we then went to Nanmas and Grandads for lunch, and then to Pop and Popettes for Dinner! It was such a busy day, and we had so much fun, and I got so many presents!

Wow I am now a big 2 year old! Today was my birthday and I had so much fun! Yesterday I had a little party at kindy and Mummy made some yummy cupcakes for me to take in and share with my friends.

This morning I had a few presents to open from Mummy and Daddy and RowRow - a party dress, a new bubbie and a cot for my babies!

Then we went to RowRows Kindy party, I ate lots of yummy food there while he was in the kindy production.

Then it was home time! I had a little nap, then it was almost tea time! we had a yummy BBQ and Pop and Popette, Nanma and Grandad and Ken all came to our place. I had a very cool cake - It was chocolate and had SHOES all over it! I got more presents, I am getting very good at opening presents now! RowRow was trying to help, but I can do it myself now since I am a big 2 year old!

Last Friday we went for the long drive to Taupo! We had a fun week and it was nice having Mummy and Daddy with me for the whole week! I was a little grumpy for the first few days, but thankfully for Mum and Dad I settled down and enjoyed the time.

Well it has been so much fun having Jon, Jen & Lacey here for the past week or so, I have liked playing with Lacey! she is cute and doesnt steal toys off me like RowRow does! however, it is time for them to go home back to Australia so we had to say goodbye.

Well since late August, Great Grandad Bob has been staying at Pop and Popettes, today however he has gone back to Australia to live :( It was fun seeing him, and he used to buy me and RowRow chocolates!

Big Kindy Girl

well it is official, I am a big kindy girl! I had my first day there today, I will go from 8:45am til 12pm Mondays and Thursdays, so I will have morning tea and lunch there. I had a very good morning, I looked out for Mum a couple of times, but was happy to settle and play with other things. There are lots of dolls and prams there which is so much fun, and I really enjoy the sandpit!

I came home today and I was so tired that I had a 2.5hr sleep!

First visit alone to kindy

Well I went for another visit with Mum on Monday, and had lots of fun, so today, Mum and Row row dropped me off, and they left me there for an hour or so! I had lots of fun, having morning tea with my new friends, and outside playing in the sandpit and with goop. I wasnt even sad when Mum left me, I just started playing!

well since we got back a couple of weeks ago, Mum is finding it harder and harder to pull me away from kindy in the mornings when we drop Row row off. I really want to stay and play and I get really really grumpy when we leave and cry.

So today, I went for my first visit to Nursery! Row row used to come here when he was my age, it was fun. There are lots of toys to play with and lots of friends. Within half an hour or so of being there, I had left Mums side and was outside playing! I think I will really enjoy being here!

Well another early start, up and out of the hotel, off to the airport and then McDonalds for breakfast, and into the plane. I was alseep in daddys arms before we even took off, I was just so tired.

I only slept however for about 30mins and then required constant entertaining for the remainder of the trip, and also insisted that my nappy be changed in the worlds smallest changing area on the plane!

So glad to be home, and able to sleep in my own cot tonight. It has been a very busy 4 days and I have been absolutley perfect so Mummy and Daddy told me.

Day 3 in Sydney!

We went to the zoo today! I had a good sleep in the car cause it was a long way to go. When we got there we had to do lots and lots of walking, so mum carried me in the manduca most of the way, and then every so often I would get out and stretch my legs and chase after Row Row! and then sometimes I made Daddy carry me!

I had a great sleep last night, I didnt wake up til after 7am local time. we then went and had breakfast and went to the shops where I had a yummy donut! and then we went to the park to play for a little while.

Then we caught up with Jon and Jen and little Lacey!

then it was time to go off to say our goodbyes to Nan. I was such a good girl during the service. Mum had taken some toys and things to entertain me and Ethan. I had lots of fun going through Ethans pencil case and handed out pens and pencils to everyone!

Its been so long! Mummy woke me up at 3:15am this morning, got me dressed and then put all our stuff in the car. We drove into the airport and me and Row row chatted the whole way. We got to the airport about 4:30am and went and checked in our suitcases and carseats. We then had to wait 2hrs til our plane left, so we had a little walk around the airport, then had something to eat. We finally got onto our plane, and we all had little tv's to watch! I had to sit on mummy or daddy's knee as I dont get my own seat yet. I had a little nap for about 20mins on the plane, and then I was wide awake again!
We finally got to Sydney, got our bags, carseats and rental car and then we were off heading for Grandad Bob's house. I was still wide awake! Once we got there, I was busy running around and showing off as I normally do! I finally went to bed at 6:30 that night (8:30NZ time) after having been awake for almost 17hrs!

Train Trip!

Row Row and Dad and Grandad were all going on a train trip today, but I wanted Daddy and didnt want to go with Mummy so I went as well! It was just a short trip from Paraparaumu to Otaki, and mummy followed us in the car to pick us up. When we were going in the train I looked out the window and saw mummys car and waved to her! It was lots of fun.

I didnt want to sleep this morning, I had a little nap, but not much. Then we went to get EJ from kindy, then picked up Pop and Popette. Popette sat in the back of the car with us, it was so much fun! we drove all the way to the airport!

Once we left there, we went and picked up Daddy then we went out for dinner! I was so tired, but I was such a good girl, and for a change Ethan was pretty well behaved as well!

I am no longer the baby of the family. My little cousin Lacey Rose was born last night. Yay for a girl. I am however disapointed that she has more hair than me at 12hrs old, than I have now at 18mths old.

Daddy is building a deck out the front of the house, this means it will be a good place to play in winter when the backyard is too wet! Row row has been helping, well trying to help, I think he just annoys Daddy more! I really want to go outside and help and get in the way, but I am not allowed to. So I have done the next best thing, I have moved the stool to the window, and now I can look out the window and see what is going on! so I am now officially the building inspector!

On Monday a emperor pengiun found its way to Kapiti! so on Wednesday we all went to visit it. I was in the backpack and kept saying 'birdie' it was cute, I wanted to take it home with us!
then on Thursday morning me and Mummy went back to see it once we dropped Ethan off at kindy, There were not as many people there first thing in the morning. I really wanted to get out of the backpack to run over and give it cuddles just like I do with the dog!
Then we went back on Thursday afternoon to take Ethan, and then we went back on Friday to see it again! we have had a busy week visiting. He was really sick cause he had eaten too much sand and there is no ice for him, so just after we left on Friday the people from the zoo came to pick him up and take him there to get him better again.

My vocab is really starting to expand! just like with many other skills I have learnt, I dont like to show off thou, I do most of my talking when no one is around!
some classic things I have done: 'give mummy hug' (mum puts arms out) 'uh oh no' and run off

Some of my new words are:
Uh oh (I said this the whole trip up to Taupo!)
Shoes (said suse) I have an obsession with my shoes, I know where every pair is at any time and try to wear them all in one day. A great way to entertain me is to take me to a shoe shop and let me run around!

Holiday!

We just went on a holiday! it was so much fun! we went to Taupo. Pop and Popette were ment to go but they went to Adelaide instead.
It was a busy week, we went up on Friday, and I had a little sleep in the car, but Ethan kept me awake most of the time!
I didnt sleep very well while we were away, I really missed my cot! Thankfully I had a little nap every day still which helped keep Mum and Dad sane! I was ment to have slept in the room with Ethan, however I didnt want to settle do I ended up in the room with Mum, and Dad slept in Ethans room!

We went for lots of walks, generally I was hanging out on mums back in the manduca being carried. Sometimes I walked. We went for a nice walk to Hot Water Beach and I soaked my feet in the water, it was so nice. I didnt want to get out, actually I wanted to get into the water completely! Daddy had to pull me away kicking and screaming, I was not happy!

We went to AC Baths a couple of times, they are really nice warm swimming pools. I just wanted to chase Ethan around everywhere!

We went out on a boat one day, I had lots of fun runing around the deck of that!

On the way home me and Ethan talked almost the whole way.... until we got to Otaki... 10km from home and we both fell asleep......

The Wiggles!

We are going to the wiggles!! I am so excited. I was only 4mths old last time I saw them, so dont remember much, actually I think I slept thru most of it!

So this morning I was super excited and didnt want to go to sleep, so we got an earlier train into wellington. I have never been on a train before (well the Tram in Adelaide) it was so much fun being able to look out the windows! When we got into Wellington we went and got some lunch, then went to the wiggles. It was lots of fun I did so much singing and dancing for the first 20mins then, I FELL ASLEEP! I was so tired from not having a nap this morning and it caught up on me! So I slept for about 40mins, and missed almost everything!

we then got the train home again, and I was wide awake and grumpy lol. Thankfully Daddy had dinner ready for us when we got home!

I am getting so fast on my feet now! I hardly do any crawling at all. I can run after RoRo now!

Thursday and friday are our quite at home days.

I will still have 2 good sleeps most days during the day.

I went to plunket last week, at 15mths old I now weight 11.73kg and I am 78cms tall!

I love copying everything that RoRo does - so I do climbing and jumping!

I have been getting so clever and not really crawling much in recent days. I am finally walking lots and lots!
Mum and Dad have moved our playroom from the conservatory into our new playroom and I can now climb down the 2 steps into there and have lots and lots of fun playing!

I have more teeth coming. I have not been very happy. On Saturday night I was really good, and Pop and Popette came up to look after me and RoRo so Mummy and Daddy could go out for the anniversary. I didnt want to go to bed, so that was ok, I stayed up. and just after 9 when Mummy and Daddy got home I had cuddles and then screamed and screamed. I finally went to sleep at 11pm! and then I woke mummy up for cuddles and milk a few more times during the night! On sunday I was grumpy all day, and then on Sunday night and also Monday night I was super grumpy! finally by Tuesday Mummy could see the culprit - a brand new tooth sticking up! I am much better now that it is thru!

A&P show

well this morning before I even had a chance to have a nap, we went off to Levin for the A&P show. RoRo was so keen to go, he wanted to go on all the rides! I didnt do much, I just sat in the buggy and watched him on all the rides! I cant wait til I am bigger to join in! We were both so tired when we left that it was a very quiet trip home in the car as we both slept!

Mum has been really busy and not had a chance to provide much of an update... so here is the whole month at once!

I am getting very confident on my feet, now taking a few steps between people, and standing by myself but not quite ready to make the leap into walking yet
I love eating almost any food!
I still really enjoy sleeping, at least 12hrs most nights and up to 2 x2hr naps during the day
Talking - well I still dont say much thats legible, EJ does most of my translation! I babble alot, and still just really say , mum, dad, ro ro, bubba
I love people singing to me, and I clap hands when doing 'if your happy and you know it' and if someone sings 'twinkle twinkle' I do the hand actions.
I still have 8 teeth. I am an octobub!

It was so nice getting to spend lots of time with Jon and Jen while they were here. I got lots and lots of cuddles! hopefully we see them again this year.. with a new addition of a cousin for me to play with!

Last Thursday I got a lovely suprise - Chelle and Cam came to visit us all! they turned up at Pop and Popettes in the middle of the night for a few days! it was so good to see them and have cuddles again, as I had not seen them since May.

Christmas Day!

wow its my second Christmas! I am sure I am a little more interesting this year... as I was only 9days old last one and was still very sick so slept thru it all!

RowRow woke me up just after 7am, and we had lots of pretty wrapped things under the tree, I liked playing with them, but RowRow kept telling me off!

Then we had breakfast, and everyone came to see us! Pop and Popette, Jon and Jen, Seb and Alice, Nanma and Grandad, Ken, and Steve. Wow. busy. I still didnt really get what I had to do with opening presents, but RowRow helped out and opened them all for me... he wont get a chance next year thou, as I will know then what to do!

I got some really cool stuff!

finally about 11am I went and had a little nap, then Daddy had to wake me up as we were going to the tractor house for lunch. I was such a good girl and sat in my highchair and ate all my food!
Then we got more presents! I got this really cool wooden pram, its pink, so Row Row wants it!

Then we went to Pop and Popettes house for dinner! I ate so much more food! I didnt want to have another nap, and was getting really really tired but I carried on entertaining people all night!

I cant believe its been a whole year since I was born and today is my birthday!
Just so Mummy could relive the moment I was born, I made sure I woke up at 6:20am this morning!

Ethan had kindy, but he insisted I open a present before he left, so I did - he got me a couch! its so cool and its pink which he loves!
I was ment to have a couple of sleeps today before my Teddy Bears picnic, but at 11am I was still crawling around the house in a grizzly mood! I finally had a nap, but it ment that when my party started at 3 I was getting tired again!

Nanma and Grandad and Popette and Pop came to my party, along with Mummy, Daddy and of course Row Row.

We had yummy cake that mummy made, and lots of picnic food. I got so many presents! I didnt quite know what to do thou, so Ethan opened them all for me! maybe next week at Christmas I may have a better idea of how to open them!

well after we made it home from holiday, I started feeling alot better!
I am really enjoying swimming. Mum has just booked for me to go back next term.

I cant belive it is only just over 2 weeks until my 1st birthday! I am still trying really really hard to walk, but still have to hold onto things.

I am sleeping right thru every night, but I still dont really like food much!

well this morning we packed up the car and headed off on holiday! it was a long long drive, we had to stop a few times along the way cause Ethan wanted to go to the toilet, then we stopped at Taihape to see Pop, Popette, Nan and Grandad who were on their way home from Taupo! we finally made it up to Taupo. I had a few little sleeps on the way, but not much rest. Me and Row Row were arguing abit as well, and apparently I scream really loud when he annoys me.

we had a couple of quiet days around Taupo, I really was not happy. I didnt sleep very well, and I didnt want to eat anything, just wanted milk, and lots of cuddles.

On Tuesday we went to Rotorua and saw some big cats! they were a little bit bigger than the ones I have at home.

On Wednesday I was still really not happy so Mummy took me to the Dr's there. He thinks I have an infection. I was so unhappy that Mummy and Daddy decided to head back home on Thursday morning. me and Row Row screamed at each other almost the whole trip home, then when we got to Levin, we both went to sleep!

So busy trying to walk

I am now getting really good at pulling myself up, and I hardly need any help now, but my main task is trying to walk! I walk whenever I can holding onto tables, couch, and anything I can get hold of!
I have mastered the climb down into the playroom, and I love going in there to play with Row Rows toys.

I am finally starting to eat 3 meals a day! its taken awhile, but I now actually eat food every meal, instead of just having milk. The other day I even ate some of EJ's chicken nuggets and chips!

sleeping wise, I am doing pretty good, I have at least 1 to 2 naps most days of up to 2hrs, and at nights I am sleeping from 7pm-ish til around 6:30am.

last night we went to a fireworks display! it was pretty fun. We drove to Otaki and sat around for a couple of hours til it got dark, then there was lots and lots of noise, and pretty sparkly things in the sky! I was mesmorised!

well on Friday I had 3 teeth - my bottom ones. I have been grinding my teeth for a couple of weeks now driving Mummy and Daddy crazy, and then today, I have got 4 more! all on the top. Yay for more teeth, it makes it so much easier to eat lots of food!

well it arrived today, I was sitting in my pram watching the world go by, and watching all the kiddies staying at camp go down the waterslide, then this huge truck pulled up, and this big thing lifted a boat off the truck and put it onto the ground! it was pretty noisy. The boat is so big, I dont think I can ever go on it!

well I think I have previously mentioned EJ's motorbike, the other day I was having such a mental when holding onto it and pushing it along, that Mummy put me onto it! EJ came and showed me which button to push and then I was off! I was holding the button all by myself hooning across the lounge! the only way to stop thou is to crash into something! its so much fun!! I like walking behind it too, it makes walking so much easier

well I am getting such a pro at this! I can now stand up holding onto most things, and am also trying to stand from a sitting position not holding onto anything! and when I stand I am starting to walk! I can walk holding onto the couch, or the trolley, or my latest favourite is holding onto the back of Ethans quad bike and pushing that along!

Well last night just me and Mummy and Daddy went out for Dinner! Mum had a Fire Service function to go to, so we all got dressed up and dropped Ethan off at the Pops place on the way. I was a good little girl and sat quietly thru most of the night and lots of people came to see me for cuddles!
then I got really tired so Mummy put me in the Manduca and I had a sleep on her back.

We got home really really late!

wow its hard to believe I am almost 10mths old! its not long til my birthday now, Mummy is frantically trying to sort out what cake to make for me!

I am starting to enjoy food alot more now, I really like jam sammies, and also will finally have a jar of baby food for dinner. Most mornings I share Mums porrige its yummy! Just like EJ, I love eating lots of vegies!

My sleeping has been pretty good recently, I generally sleep all night, but sometimes I wake up about 4am to see my mummy!

3rd tooth!

Mummy looked in my mouth this morning, and I have a 3rd bottom tooth broken thru the surface! its so exciting! I still dont have any at the top thou!!

On Saturday Mummy was out for the day, Daddy had me from 9:45am til 4pm and I was such a good girl! we hung out at Pop and Popettes just incase Daddy had to take me to mummy for a feed, but I was good and had 2 sleeps, and didnt need any milk until Mummy got back!

Saturday night was Daylight Savings, its now darker in the mornings, but I dont care, I dont want to sleep in!!! nor do I want to go to bed at my normal 7pm ish! I stayed up til 9pm last night!

I am so so trying to pull myself up!

I love singing and playing with Ethan, he plays 'row row row the boat' with me lots, so now I am calling him 'row row' its so cute, I crawl around the house calling out 'Row Row' when I want to play with him!

well I now have 2 teeth! my 2nd bottom one has just started coming thru.

I am starting to enjoy eating real food, I dont like it if someone has food and I dont! I really really like ice cream!

My sleeping is pretty good at nights, I am sleeping from 7ish til 6:30 most nights, sometimes I still wake for a quick cuddle with mummy.

I love chasing EJ around the house, and I am still trying to pull myself up!

I have done it! mastered it finally!!! woohoo I am now mobile! its so much fun, I am still slow, but I dont need to roll anymore I am a baby on the move!
During the past week I have been talking a bit, I still babble lots, but now say 'Dada' and 'Buba' Mummy was very upset that I said Dada first!

I am still not really interested in foods! I prefer real food and not baby stuff, I love mashed potato and sometimes have some carrots.

Well me and Mummy have just gotten back from a weekend in wellington! Mummy had a conference to go to, and that ment I had to go as well! We went on Thursday and then stayed until Sunday afternoon. It was a long weekend, but I enjoyed it and behaved pretty well. There was another little girl there who was a few days older than me and we played a little bit. I slept ok at nights, but wanted extra cuddles with Mummy so ended up in her bed a couple of days! I really missed Ethan and Daddy!
I have been practising my rocking, and really really trying to crawl still, I am getting so close, can now shuffle forwards a little bit before I fall over! I am really really busy rolling and rolling and then sitting up for ages!

well I am now having some food most days, and semi-enjoying them. I only really like the nice sweet foods, so mummy has to mix the sweet stuff in with the meat! I am now sitting for a little while and am attempting to crawl, I have made a couple of shuffles, but then fall over! I am getting really fast at rolling/commando crawling all over the place thou! Still no teeth, but when I bit Mummys finger the other day when she was putting that yucky bonjella in, she said she could feel some lumps there!

well today is Ethans operation, we had to get up really early at like 5:15am and Mummy fed me, then we had to head into Wellington to be there by 7am. We sat around for ages and ages, and I didnt really sleep and was getting a little grumpy! we finally got home but I still didnt really want to sleep, and then about tea time I finally fell asleep on Ethans little couch with my cuddly blankie! Hopefully now that Ethan has had his ears fixed he wont be so noisy!

Today when me and Mum were out at the shops, I got her to buy me this really cool seat so I can sit in the bath! now I can sit up and have a bath with Ethan! its so much fun, he doesnt like letting me share his toys thou... he will give me some, then take them off me, and even if I cry he wont give them back :(

Tonight Daddy gave me a gingernut! wow, real food! it was soooooo good. I really enjoyed it, and when Daddy took it away from me I was not happy, I cried and grizzled and really had a tantrum!

well I am rolling everywhere now! and I am so quick!!! I am pulling myself up onto my knees quite abit now and really want to be able to chase my brother around!

I still dont really like 'real' food.

I am getting so cheeky, I like laughing lots and lots. Mummy says I am really placid and I am just happy entertaining myself. I spend lots of time in the exersaucer I really enjoy playing in there.

I dont have any teeth yet, but they have been giving me grief for some time, so would not be suprised if one or two appear very shortly.

Ethan likes coming into my room when I am ment to be sleeping, he will come in and sing to me or play his guitar and wake me up, its pretty funny but Mummy doesnt seem to think so!

Well I am growing up so fast!!! I am now rolling all over the place! I still dont really like solids, I sometimes have fruit salad if Daddy or Ethan feed me, but not interested if Mummy tries, I would rather just have milk!

I am sleeping really well still, most nights having 12hrs and if we are at home during the day I have a couple of 2-3hr sleeps, but if we are out I am too nosey and just have a little nap!! Sometimes I still wake mummy for a quick feed and cuddle during the nights cause I miss her!

I love my big brother so much! he is so funny he makes me laugh all the time. I like playing with his toys, but he does not like sharing too much and gets really upset if I take his shawlies!

Yesterday Pop and Popette came home from Australia! It was so nice to have cuddles again as we had not seen them for almost 5 weeks!

Wow, I am getting so vocal! I imitate Ethan! he says thing and I try and copy. Somedays I just dont stop talking! Poor Mummy having to listen to both me and EJ talking and talking all day long! I can almost say 'I love you'!! pretty clever for a 6mth old aye!

well I was ment to have had them before we went to Australia, but Mummy delayed them until today. I was a brave girl when getting them even thou they hurt me. I feel pretty lousy now thou, Mummy gave me some pamol which has made me feel a bit better.

Its official, I can roll! I finally mastered my technique and showed Mummy and Daddy the first time today! Ethan has seen me to it lots, but they hadnt until now.

I can now get Ethans toys, and his shawlie, and anything else he leaves on the floor!

I am really enjoying being in the exersaucer, it is fun cause I can stand and rock and twist and play with all the cool toys in there!. Ethan likes sitting next to me and showing me how all the toys work.

well since I am home, its time to try some real food. Mummy got me some apples to try, I had a little bit but was not really that keen on them!
I dont have any teeth yet, but I am getting really red cheeks and like biting on anything I can get my mouth near, hopefully they will start coming thru soon.

I am now rolling alot, I still dont like anyone seeing it thou! I am trying my hardest to pull myself up to sit, and can sit easily when someone is holding me.

Flying Home

Well we left Adeliade this morning. Mummy woke me up about 4:20am, dressed me and we left. I had a goodbye cuddle with Pop and Popette and Jon and Jen and then we got on the plane to head home. I stayed awake the whole trip to Melbourne, then had a little nap while we waited for the next plane.
Once we finally left Melbourne, the plane was quite empty so me and Mummy moved to another row, and had a sleep for about 1 and a half hours, it was nice to have a proper rest.
Nanma and Grandad met us at the airport so I got more cuddles!
It was so much fun in Adelaide, but I will be glad to sleep in my cot tonight.

ZOO

we all had a little sleep in today, then went on the tram, and a bus to the Zoo! we met up with Fraser and Bonnie, Nan and Grandad and Chelle and Cam there.
Mummy was going to carry me in the manduca, but Ethan wanted to go in a little car that Daddy could push, so that was good, I got to rest in the pram. There was lots of big animals there. I dont know what most of them were, but Ethan was telling me.
We didnt leave the Zoo til after 4pm, so by the time we got back to the tram it was really busy, I fell asleep in the manduca, and Ethan fell asleep in the pram while we were on the tram. We both woke up when we got to Glenelg and Ethan had his dinner and we went to bed!

Wedding Day!

Wow, the first thing I noticed today is that the weather is alot colder than any other day since we have been here.

We all got ready to go to the Wedding, I had a little nap this morning, but then we left just after lunch time, and I stayed awake the whole time! When we got up to the church it was really really cold. Mummy and Daddy got me and Ethan all dressed up.
Just after the service started Ethan got all upset and Mummy had to take him out, then I got upset cause Mummy wasnt there! so the 3 of us sat in the back room while the wedding was going on!

Straight after we had some family photos, and it was so cold and raining. Thankfully we had the car parked close by so Mummy took me and Ethan to the car to keep us warm!

We then drove to the reception, and me and Ethan still stayed awake! I had a little nap for a tiny little while on Mummy, and Ethan fell asleep in my stroller! it was so noisy but he slept thru it all!

about 11pm we finally left, and I stayed awake the whole drive back, Seb was sitting behind me in the car and making me laugh. He is so funny!

wow its been a busy few days! I have been sleeping pretty well at nights, but have been waking for a feed. I am in the same room as Mummy and Daddy and Ethan so its nice and Mummy doesnt have to go far to check on me!

I have not really been sleeping too well during the day thou, a little nap in the mornings and thats about it, and then when I am really tired I go to sleep in the manduca while Mummy is carrying me around.

We have been into the city on the tram, and walked around and looked at lots of shops. We have a nice beach near where we are staying, and I like putting my toes in the sand! it was a weird feeling but I think it was pretty cool.

I am getting cheekier and cheekier by the day! I love smiling at anyone who looks at me.

I am hoping to get a good sleep tonight as its the wedding tomorrow and I need to look my best!

Wow what a busy day! We all got up this morning, and took Ethan to his swimming. Then we got into the car and drove all the way to wellington, I stayed awake the whole time!
When we got to the airport, we had to wait for the Pops, and Seb and Shaun then we all checked our bags in, and found out that the plane we are going on does not have a basinette seat, so I was going to have to be held the whole way! yay that means I get cuddles!
Nanma and Grandad and Ken came to say goodbye, and they took our car home. I had a little nap on Mummy for about 20mins and then woke up again! Finally we went thru security and got onto our plane. I had to wear a little seatbelt that attached to Mummys one. I didnt mind the take off, unlike Ethan who made Daddy hold his hand!
I had a couple of little naps on Mummy while we flew to Melbourne, then once we landed and had dinner at the airport I had another little nap, then we got onto another plane and flew to Adelaide. I had another tiny nap then. By the time we got to Adelaide at 120:30pm NZ time, I had only had about 2hrs sleep all day, having been up since 6:30am! I was tired, and fell asleep pretty quickly in my cot!

Mummy has packed all my clothes already, she has done a good job at organising things.
Tomorrow will start out like a normal Tuesday - I will most likely wake up somewhere between 1 and 3am for a snack cause I like seeing mummy! then I will go back to sleep til about 7am. Then we will all be up, and get Ethan ready for swimming then off to the airport. Apparently its a good thing having me, as Mum and Dad should be able to get the 'basinette' row in the plane - which means more leg room!

Plunket

Well today me and Ethan had to go to plunket - me for my 5mth check, and him for his 3 year one.
I am now 7.75kg! and 62cm tall. Ethan is exactly twice my weight at 15.5kg!

Mummy has been busy this week getting all our stuff sorted to go on holiday next week. I am not really fussed about the whole thing, maybe once I can see that we are actually flying a boeing and not an airbus I will be happier!

Plunket

Well today me and Ethan went to Plunket!

I had to have my 5mth check up, and Ethan his 3 year one. I weigh 7.75kg, which is exactly half of what Ethan weighs!
I am allowed to start on solids, but Mummy said we will wait til we get back from Australia.

I have been practising my rolling, but still dont like showing anyone, I will wait til I am more confident to show off! Mummy just knows I do rolling cause she has left me in one part of the lounge, and comes back a few minutes later and I am elsewhere!

We are off to Australia next week!

Ethans birthday

Well today was my big brothers birthday, he is so old, he is now 3! wow I cant wait til I am 3 as well. Cause he had the chickenpox (oopps I gave them to him) it was a pretty quiet day at home, then we all went out for dinner to Ethans favourite place - Cobb n Co. I had a good time out, I napped on Popette, and had some quiet time in the capsule while everyone ate their meals.
Ethan was naughty and didnt eat his birthday dinner!

well it wasnt really intential, but I did. I was in my bed, sleeping on my tummy as I do, and I was getting grumpy cause Mummy didnt come and pick me up, so I wriggled around so my head was where my feet go, and then I rolled over onto my back! I havnt been able to do it again thou!

well most of my spots have now crusted over, and I am feeling alot better. I have not really wanted to sleep during the day much, wanting lots of cuddles instead from Mummy, at least I have been a really good girl and sleeping all night! I have had some really good night sleeps this past week, my best being on Saturday - 8pm til 6am, then really quick feed and then back sleepies til 10am!

oh no that lump on my head was the start of something. Today I have got little blisters all over my head, and some on my chest and neck and all under my nappy. They are a little bit annoying and a bit sore. Mummy has been giving me some yummy Pamol to help out with the pain. Apparently I am contagious, so hopefully I dont give them to anyone else. I am not feeling very happy at the moment.

Wedding Day!

Well apparently it was a big day, but I slept thru alot of it! I got to wear my pretty dress that Chelle and Cam brought me when I was born. I had a little sleep in the capsule during the service, but then woke up again! I didnt really want to sleep much after that, until I got to have cuddles with my Popette and had a wee nap for awhile. It was such a late night, we didnt get home until about 10:30pm and then by the time I got to bed it was after 11pm. Tonight is the end of daylight savings, so in theory we all got an extra hours sleep... so I didnt wake up til about 7:30am!

wow its been such a busy week! On Monday I got to see Chelles and Cam again, and then on Wednesday we went to the Wiggles! it was a huge day. We left home about 1030am to get EJ from Kindy, then went and picked up Joshua and Kate, then drove into town. I cried the whole way :( Mummy had put EJ in the back of the car so Joshua could sit next to him, and I didnt like not having my big brother next to me. When we got to the Wiggles I slept thru the whole show in the carrier! I can be such a good girl! Then we went and picked up my hand and feet castings I had done several weeks ago, then we went to the airport and I met Jon and Jen for the first time! I then cried the whole way home again!
Since we have been having such a busy week with going to Pop and Popettes most days, I have not been sleeping that well during the day, but no longer wake at night time now, I am sleeping from about 8:30pm til 6am every night!

Mummy thinks she worked out what was wrong - I didnt like sleeping on my right side! last night I fell asleep about 9pm, and then Mummy put me to bed on my left side and I slept til 4:30am! Mummy was so happy when I called out to her then, that she gave me extra milk for being a good girl!

well I was 3mths old yesterday! I am growing 'bigger and bigger and bigger' as Ethan likes to keep telling me.

Today mummy took me to the Dr's, I had to get 2 more injections. I just cried a little bit when I got them but soon smiled when Mummy fed me afterwards.

Talkie talkie

I love talking! mainly to Daddy and Ethan, but I will talk to others as well. I can say 'I love you' when Daddy says it to me! some days I just dont shut up! I am more vocal when EJ is not around, cause no one gets a chance to talk when he is here!

My sleeping is still going really well. 2 good sleeps during the day of up to 3hrs at a time, and still 6-7hr stints at night, with a quick feed and then back to bed. Now that my cold has gone I am feeling much better. I really like sleeping on my tummy, but Mummy will only let me do that during the day.

I am finally starting to like being on my playmat and in the boucer a bit more, and Mummy can now let me play for a bit each day.

I have got my first cold. Its yucky. my nose is all blocked up and snotty and I have got a sore head. Mummy had a cold the other day, she gave it to me. I have been powerchucking lots, getting rid of all that yucky mucous which makes me feel so much better. I really give Mum big smiles once I have spewed over her!

I had plunket yesterday, at 11w 1d old I was 6.22kg!

If you have read Ethans blog, you will know how very busy we have been. I got to see Chelle and Cam for cuddles on Monday night, and they got me some cool clothes as well! then on Wednesday we went to the Wiggles, I was a good girl and slept during the show, but screamed the whole way into wellington in the car, and home again... My brother was not sitting next to me, and I did not like it one bit! I tried telling Mummy but she didnt understand.
After the wiggles we went to the airport and got J&J, I was almost asleep so I didnt see the planes. Then we drove and got Daddy and then went to the Pops. Wow, thats alot for one day!
I have not been sleeping during the day that well this week, cause we have been so so so very busy. But the good news is I have been sleeping from 9:30pm til about 6am every day, so Mummy is very happy about that!

Crikey time is going fast! I am now 2 months old. The other day mummy took me to get castings done of my hands and feet, like they got done for EJ when he was little. I didnt really like that much.

I am growing so fast. I have grown out of all the lovely prem/0000 stuff that Nanma brought me, and now into 000 stuff. Mummy is going thru all of Ethans old clothes to see what stuff I can use so I will have lots more clothes soon!

Well I am now 8 weeks old! I am starting to have really good sleeps now, going to bed about 9:30/10ish and sleeping thru til about 3:30 then back to sleep til 7:30. Mummy is loving only having to get up to me once a night, but I do miss the extra cuddles!

It was Mummies birthday yesterday, Daddy got a card from me and EJ and Daddy made me put this ink stuff on my foot and put it onto the card!

well today I had my first lot of injections, there were 3 big needles and they put them into my legs and I cried. EJ sat next to me and held my hand and kept telling me 'its ok Jessie' but I was still scared.

Well Sarah who has looked after Mummy for the last 10 and a bit months came for her last appointment today. I am 6 weeks and 1 day old and now weigh 5kg! no wonder I have grown out of the newborn nappies and some of my clothes are getting too small!

I am growing up so much! I am sleeping pretty well, 3 or so hours during the day and up to 5hrs at night time. I am gaining so much weight that lots of the really little clothes Nanma brought me I hardly fit anymore.
I got to meet my Aunty Michelle and Uncle Cam in early January when they came over for a week to organise their wedding. I wont see them again until April by which stage I will be so much bigger!

I have been so busy sleeping and growing that I dont have much time to get up to anything else! I have been going out in the frontpack with Mummy and Ethan alot, and Ethan loves cuddling me and kissing me whenever he can!

Christmas Day

Well me and Mummy got kicked out of hospital yesterday afternoon, so we made it home in time for Christmas!
Ethan got lots and lots of presents today, and he opened mine as well cause I am too little, thats ok thou, cause I will be able to help him next year.
I spent most of today sleeping, its so cozy in the carrycot that Nanma brought me.

Well after Mondays bloods not changing from Sundays, I had to have more taken on Tuesday, unfortunatley my levels have increased, Mummy got a phone call at 8pm to say we had to go back into hospital asap. So Daddy woke up Ethan, and we dropped him off at Pop and Popettes again and headed into the hospital. I had to sleep on a special 'billi bed' its a bit like a photocopier plate that I slept on, and all velcroed into a special gown so I couldnt move. I didnt like it one bit, and didnt fall asleep til about 3am, poor Mummy had to stay awake to comfort me.
Around 10am we were moved from the ward we spent the night in, to the childrens ward, they had a nice incubator waiting there for me. Mummy didnt have a very comfy bed however, but at least the lovely nurses were able to help look after me which ment that Mummy could leave and have a break or get something to eat. Hopefully we will get to go home again tomorrow in time for Christmas, since the only reason I am here so early is to see what this Christmas fuss is all about!

well we finally got told today is the day I can go home! Daddy came into the hospital with Ethan and we all went home together. As soon as we got home Ethan wanted more cuddles with me, not that I mind at all as I love cuddles!

I am still a bit yellow, so have to have my bloods checked again tomorrow to see if I am getting better.

Well its been a busy couple of days! Me and Mummy are still hanging out at the hospital, Mummy was told she could go home today, but since I was a little yellow from the jaundice they checked my billirubin levels and it was too high, so I have to be under lights for the next 24hrs or so.

Ethan came into see me today with Daddy, he gave me my first cuddle!

I dont really like this incubator thing with these lights, I cant have cuddles with Mummy very easily :(

37w 5d the big day

At 1:20am this morning Mummy woke up and her waters had broken. She called her midwife who said to get into the hospital straight away.

Mummy then called Popette (they had literally just gotten home after being in Australia) to let her know that they will be dropping EJ off.

About 3:15am we got to the hospital. After they monitored me for a while the Dr came in and chatted to Mum and Dad, then around 6am we were taken off to the theater.

At 6:27am I was born! 2 and a bit weeks early I was held up to Mummy straight away and she saw that I was a girl! Daddy had been too busy taking photos to notice at that stage!

Mummy and Daddy had already named me - Jessie Leigh Hindry, lucky I was a girl cause they were still struggling to come up with a name for me if I was a boy!!

Shortly after 7am we were taken to the recovery room, where I had lots of cuddles with mummy and started feeding straight away.

We had to wait around in the recovery room til just after lunch time, as the postnatal ward was full and there were no beds for us to go to!

Later that afternoon I got to meet my big brother Ethan, Pop, Popette, Seb and Nanma and Grandad.

37 weeks today!

well I have been growing for 37 weeks now, just 20 more days tops til my eviction date!
I am starting to make Mummy really tired now, she is having to have a sleep most days when Ethan has his nap, and she likes early nights as well.

Well its official, I will be born on the 31st of December 2009! unless I decide I want to come out sooner!!
Mummy had her appointment with the Dr's today and that is the soonest they can get her in to get me out! they are so busy over Christmas with them only doing emergency operations that they are all booked up for electives!

Well Mummy and Daddy got to see me again today! hopefully next time they see me it will be once I am born.
So Mummy left home, dropped EJ off at Pop and Popettes and then drove to lower hutt to get Daddy and then drove into Wellington Hospital.
The first thing they saw was that I am now the right way around! and the good news (which I knew all along) is that the placenta is well out of the way of the scar tissue.
Other than that I am growing really well, I was practising my breathing when they saw me, and apparentley other than my big head I also have a big tummy! Must be all that Icecream and strawberries that Mummy has been eating!
Mummy now has to wait until Thursday to find out what date my eviction is going to be!

well today mummy had an appointment to find out when my eviction date will be! there is a slight problem thou, as the last scan did not actually show where the placenta is, and they need to make sure its not near mummys scar from EJ, so on Monday Mummy and Daddy have to go to the hospital and have another scan of me so they can see where it is! Ethan wont be able to come as it is during his sleep time, so he is going to go to Pop and Poppettes. Then next thursday Mummy will go back to see the specialist and hopefully be able to have a date confirmed.

Well it was scan day again! Mummy and Daddy and my big brother Ethan all came to see me.

I am being a little monkey just like my big brother and am currently the wrong way round! I am growing really well, my head is huge (also just like my big brothers!) and is in the 100th percentile.
